Preparing for a Harvest

Timber Appraisal
When we first meet a Land Owner we get an idea of their expectations, as were always trying to meet their goals. We then complete a thorough walk through examining the Timber. Sometimes it takes a few hours and sometimes it can take a few days. We calculate the volume of certain species and trees' grades per acre. The Timber Value is based upon this, what, and how much is available to Harvest. We specialize in selective harvesting. During this process we mark the individual trees to be selected out of your Forest.

Exporting Veneer
There are certain Log Markets that maximize the potential of a Timber Bid. We have overseas exporting markets that are the best in the business. Certain Species contribute to how a Timber Appraisal goes. White Oak, Walnut, and Maple are some of the most valuable species.

Clean-Up
After every harvest we make sure to complete BMP's (Best Management Practice). We carefully navigate trails through your property before the harvest. After the Harvest we precisely smooth trails with one of our dozers. Mulch debris with our skid-steer attachment. Then add water bars (if necessary) and disburse winter wheat all over your property covering all the bare dirt. At every landing site we also add hundreds of dollars in gravel making a nice spot for a house, garage, or just a parking space. Things like this is what makes us stand out from our competitors.
